Being a bridesmaid the same year that I am getting BBL surgery and breast augmentation surgery

Question

I plan on getting BBL surgery March or April of 2024. Then I plan on getting breast augmentation surgery after.(4 to 8 weeks after) I am going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding in November 2024. When should I buy my dress after the surgeries? Will I have enough healing time between the surgeries and the wedding? Can I avoid wearing my faja, post surgical garments and post surgical bra on the day of the wedding? I don't want to ruin my results just for one day but also want to look my best.

Hello, thank you for your question. You are cutting it a bit close but you can start getting sized for your dress about September 4-5 months post BBL would be better. Although you will have some swelling with Breast augmentation it will improve by the 3 month point and it wont swell as much as in a BBL. You will ok with not wearing supportive garments for one day. As long as you maintain garments before and after. Good luck and try not to outshine the bride with your new bod!

I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.
