Hello,i'm 4 month post septorhinoplasty.Already 2 weeks after cast removal i saw the asymmetry, thought it's because of swelling. Now even my surgeon agree, that's asymmetry. The nasal bone on 1 side is sunken. My surgeon suggested to fill that area with hyaluronic acid. Is it good idea 4 m.post op?My surgeon want to put the cartilage in order to fill the missing area on nasal bone instead to break the bone again after 6 m.post op.What do you think about this? How is the result in general?Thank you
Answer: HA Fillers for Post Rhinoplasty Asymmetries In the right hands, HA filler can correct asymmetries post rhinoplasty albeit temporarily. It carries very little risk and is fine to do even 4 months postop. More permanent correction can be achieved with revision rhinoplasty with cartilage grafting and/or repeat osteotomies. Hope this helps!

Answer: Filler after Rhinoplasty? Asymmetrical Results You can have HA fillers now to improve the asymmetry. Keep in mind, you need to have patience with your body as it begins to heal. The skin, bone and cartilage are all traumatized during surgery. Inflammation (swelling) is the normal response and will help your nose to heal and look beautiful in the end. If, one year from now, you are unhappy with your nose, then that is the time to think about a revision procedure. Right now, concentrate on other things you like to do and let your nose and under eyes take the time to heal. I hope this helps.

Answer: Filler after rhinoplasty Asymmetries along the nasal bones can be seen post rhinoplasty. Surgical options can involve repositioning the nasal bone, rasping any apparent edges, adding cartilage or fascia to the area, or fat grafting. Filler can be an option as it lasts for at least 1 year (often times it creates permanent scar tissue). Best Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: Hyaluronic Acid Fillers Post-Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. After reviewing the photos, I note the asymmetry of the nasal bones. Before I provide a detailed answer, do you have breathing issues? This may change the ultimate treatment, as hyaluronic acid fillers will not correct any breathing abnormality. Otherwise, facial fillers can often be a good indication to "symmetrize" the nose without revision surgery. The upside? Minimal downtime, no surgical intervention, and the procedure takes 5 minutes. The downside? It's not permanent. Discuss options with your surgeon and use the hyaluronic acid filler in the meantime until you decide on the final treatment.

Answer: Post rhinoplasty asymmetry Thanks for your question and photos. Hyaluronic avid to fill in temporary asymmetries is common and can be very safe and effective in expert hands. 4-6 months post op is reasonable. I would definitely avoid revision surgery until the 1 year mark to ensure you get the most accurate, long lasting revision.
