Imagining you have had your rhinoplasty performed by a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon or Otolaryngologist who has vast experience performing rhinoplasty surgery-you have nothing to worry about!!!At one week out from nose surgery, it would be almost miraculous if your nose currently is perfectly symmetrical-since post-surgical swelling will invariably cause bruising, swelling, numbness and a modicum of asymmetry.  In time as you heal, these transient issues related to healing-namely bruising, swelling and numbness-will gradually reduce and eventually disappear-leaving you with the nose you have always wanted to possess.  Go forth and heal  !!!

Your instincts are correct--too early to draw any conclusions.  Slight nostril asymmetry is common both before and after rhinoplasty.  Achieving symmetry is more dependent on the pre-operative state.  The nose is embryologically a fusion of two separate tubes.  They are not exactly the same from before birth.  Be patient.  Nostril retainers are available through Stryker Medical that can be worn as a night retainer if necessary
