I would like a small feminine nose - is deprojection possible? (Photos)

For my primary rhinoplasty. I would like a small feminine nose. I am concerned with it looking too projected still, or wider from the front, or piggy. I do not know my skin type but my drooping tip seems to be cartilage. Thank you

You are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. You need your bridge lowered considerably to get the result you are looking for. Many surgeons are conservative especially  in a case like yours. I would do a closed  rhinoplasty in your case.

Open tip rhinoplasty surgery is a well recognised technique which can address tip droop and over projection without the creation of a piggy nose or disproportionate width of the nasal tip. 
In circumstances where poor tip projection is due to insufficient cartilagenous support of the tip, the use of cartilage grafts is also a well recognised technique. 
Once you seek the opinion of a qualified and experienced surgeon, these factors as they specifically pertain to your anatomy can be identified and discussed.

Based on your photos you have a dorsal hump, mild deviation and a good looking nasal tip. A reductive rhinoplasty can give you a straighter dorsum and taking care of the septum and columella cartilage can decrease tip projection as well as straightening your nose. 
As usual we should always consider the functional aspect of the nose and evaluate if any work is required to improve breathing.

Many thanks for your enquiry. One of the goals of a rhinoplasty is in achieving an outcome that harmonises with an individual's face. This ideally aims to have a natural appearance which entails having a proportionate level of projection, rotation and length. Consequently, in your scenario, from the limited views in your query, it does seem that decreasing your projection together with refining your profile would be favourable. The ideal nose should not have too great a nostril show (a "piggy" appearance) and would not be the aim typically but your nasal tip may benefit from an element of elevation still. Best Wishes

Thanks for your question and sharing your photos. You are a great candidate for a rhinoplasty. Deprojection of your nasal tip is possible. Based on your photos, you have a dorsal hump and an overprojected tip. Your nose has irregular contours from the front view and the tip of your nose appears to curve to the right. All these can be improved with surgical rhinoplasty. The combination of dorsal hump removal, nasal bone narrowing, and tip maneuvers including tip defining sutures and deprojecting techniques will help you achieve your goals. Your septum like is deviated (likely reason for why the tip of the nose curves to the right) and would be corrected in surgery. I highly recommend you see a board certified facial plastic surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience.

Can you get a smaller less projecting nose? Deprojection of the nasal tip is commonly performed during Rhinoplasty, you also appear to have a small dorsal hump and in the front view the nose may have a very small degree of asymmetry. These issues can be addressed during primary rhinoplasty with emphasis on making a smaller less projecting nose.
