Septorhinoplasty procedure and post op - is it OK if I only see a nurse for post-op care?

The things you mention don't necessarily raise a red flag. If you're interested in using this surgeon, insist on a second consult prior to the preop . There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If they're not willing to do that before they have your money, how will you be treated afterwards?

Efficiency has become an important facet of many practices ...Each plastic surgeon has developed his / her individual protocol for follow up care. A trained nurse practitioner can provide this care to the patient. The surgeon is available if there are any deviations from "normal" or at visits which require their presence. The physician is in the office and is immediately available if any problems are noted during the nurse's evaluation. This frees up the surgeon to perform other duties in the office.
Efforts to improve efficiency are ongoing in today's medical practices.
