Shall I use my Psoriasis scalp lotions after FUE hair transplant surgery?

I had FUE ht surgery a month ago .. Also I have mild psoriasis ... Before surgery my scalp was completely clean and now very few small psoriasis plaques occurred and this is normal .. Can I use my regular psoriasis lotions with cortisone and steroid content on my scalp .. I use dermovate scalp lotion .. I am afraid to harm my transplanted new hair ? Shall I use it or not?

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. If you trusted your doctor with your surgery, trust you doctor for post operative care.

We have done a study and transplanted psoriasis lesions with follicular unit grafts. The result has been published in the Journal of Advances in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. We have witnessed complete clearance of the psoriasis lesions in 3 patients we have evaluated. If you had psoriasis before the hair transplant in the other areas of scalp you may need to resume the psoriasis medications whenever your doctor allow you to do so.  In our practice all topical medications and products could be resumed after one week.

After a month you can go back to your normal routine regarding your hair and scalp, assuming there are no unusual circumstances surrounding your case. Ask your doctor but using your psoriasis lotions will probably have no effect on your transplants.
