I had bbl &fat transfer to my calves and the doc took all the fat from my waistline circularly, which caused my waistline to disappear and look like a tree trunk without curves. I had a second surgery to fix other problems that was also caused by this surgery and asked the 2nd doc to put the fat back into where they were. He said he tried but the fat moved down? How does that happen? Now I have no areas to store fat in my body other than my arms and butt. My arms are getting huge. How to this?
Answer: BBL results Dear Angel1ss, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Liposuction and fat transfer results To assess the outcome of a procedure we need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures then ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. Per patients who had more than one procedure we need to see before and after pictures for each procedure including revisions. Grafting fat in previously Liposuctioned areas is very difficult and fat often does not survive well. Grafted fat requires an abundance of host tissue to survive and this is typically lacking in areas previously treated with Liposuction. Delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people including a physicians belief. For this reason I continue to tell patients to spend a significant amount of effort finding the most talented local board-certified plastic surgeon before committing to these procedures. Do that my having multiple in person consultations at which time you should ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures. simply seeing a handful of pre-selected sample pictures which most likely represent the best results of their career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. As providers to show samples of excellent outcomes, average outcomes and less than outcomes. And experienced the provider should have no difficulty showing you a minimum of 50 sets on before and after pictures. Highly experienced surgeons will have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures for each procedure. Finally I recommended patient read all the reviews on various position review websites avoiding providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. Finally I recommended patient read all the reviews on various position review websites avoiding providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is more important and more telling than having an abundance of positive reviews. Revision Work is many times more difficult than primary work. This means patients looking for revisions need to be even more diligent above finding only the most experienced in talented providers. The process of finding experience talented providers is time-consuming and cannot be done using a computer. I recommend patients not to travel long distances for elective certificcal procedures. With each operation the chance for options become less and more difficult. In the end there are only two variables determine the outcome of a cosmetic surgical procedure. They are the candidacy average patient combine with the scale and experience of the provider. In the end there are only two variables determine the outcome of a cosmetic surgical procedure. Continue following up with your providers and if you want proper second opinion consultations schedule those as in person consultations at which time you should bring copies of your previous operative reports and all before and after pictures. before and after pictures and operative reports are part of your medical records which you should have access to.
