It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.

Many things, such as lighting and your hair being wet can effect how thick your hair looks.  Now that you're eight months postop, this would be a good time to visit your surgeon, review preop photos, discuss results and talk about what, if anything, you want to do next.

At 8 months, you have fully 80% of the growth that you can expect, possibly more.  I would not expect much more new growth, just more length from the new hair
