It is normal to shed transplanted hairs weeks after surgery. The new hairs may take 6 to 12 months to grow.

Because of the great vascularity in the face, it's not uncommon to see some of the hairs grow right away and not shed. That said, it is likely that you will still experience some delayed shedding so do not worry about that. I personally love doing facial hair transplantation with the ARTAS robot.
