Rhinoplasty for biracial male? (Photo)

Hi, I am a 21 year old biracial asian and white male. I am asking about would could be done to fix bulbous tip and nostrils. I am not sure where to start and what would need to be done. Additionally, I haven't seen any example photos of someone who have both features of asian and white so any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Your thick-skinned nose does present specific challenges, but it's an area we specialize in. Based on your photos, you could benefit from an osteotomy. This would narrow the broader nasal bones and introduce an attractive definition to the nose's upper section. For addressing the bulbous tip and prominent nostrils, a tip plasty is recommended. This procedure aims to reduce excess fatty tissue on the tip, finely reshape the underlying cartilages for a more defined appearance, and subtly reduce the nostril size to balance with the nose's new shape.

Hi, thank you for your question and photos. Based on your photos, you seem to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty. The surgical procedure can refine the nasal bridge and tip, as well as narrow the nostrils.

It appears that you would benefit by narrowing the bulbous tip coupled with narrowing of the nasal base. There are various approaches to narrowing the tip: from the use of sutures & incisions/excisions to the use of extended tip grafts. Narrowing the nasal base would best be accomplished by degloving the soft tissue off the bony attachments and the use of cinching sutures. Any form of alarplasty would be contraindicated in your instance.

Based on your photos, it does appear that a rhinoplasty would make a nice change to your overall appearance. While there are a variety of approaches and techniques employed by various surgeons, it is up to you to do your due diligence to find a rhinoplasty specialist in order to achieve the best results possible. The tip of your nose is characterized by thick skin and large cartilage, which are main causes of bulbousness of the tip.
Correction of bulbous tip with these characteristics requires debulking of soft tissue including fat and SMAS tissue, and alar cartilage trimming and realignment. 
In the nose under these conditions, there is no difference between the Asian and Western surgical methods, but thick tip skin is closer to the Asian nose. 
From side view, tip looks droopy. Correcting drooping of the tip of the nose is very important because, in addition to improving the height of the tip of the nose, it helps to improve the bulbousness by stretching the thick skin.
Alar base reduction is also considered necessary.

A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish narrowing your bridge line, refinement of the nasal tip and narrowing the nostrils. Your nostrils can be narrowed with an alar plasty.  The thick skin in the tip of your nose is going to prevent refinement in that area, so it is important have realistic expectations about how much refinement can be accomplished in the nasal tip area
