Ultherapy is an FDA-cleared technology for facial and neck lifting. It uses microfocused ultrasound which precisely places heat into specific layers under the skin. The "Ultra neck lift" appears to be a radiofrequency device similar to Thermage. It also appears that there is some ultrasound used but not focused as with Ulthera. Unfocused ultrasound would not have the same effect.
Ultraneck Lift is a non peer reviewed procedure that a particular doctor has coined seeming to use both Pelleve, radiofrequency, and possibly Ultherapy. Ultherapy is a deep focused ultrasound that helps tighten connective tissue and induce new collagen formation. Radiofrequency when delivered via Pelleve, and the newer ThermiRF system with ThermiSmooth, can also tighten and promote collagen formation. The combination of the two together can possibly give a greater result than either treatment when done alone. More studies need to be done to determine the best effectiveness via one or several treatments. I saw great results with series of Pelleve and now I have replaced those treatments with ThermiSmooth and I see very good results with one Ultherapy. ThermiSmooth is repeated every 10 days to two weeks (or less frequently depending on the patient's schedule) but Ultherapy usually is not repeated for six to twelve months by most physicians.
Ultherapy is something we call fractional ultrasound and is a one time neck, face tightening procedure that for wrinkle reduction and tightening it is the deepest penetrating of all the energy based devices. Ultherapy has been around now for several years and has become one of the most popular procedures, and when done in an office of a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon, offers the best predictable results, all of which occurs in one single setting. An Ultra Neck Lift is a procedure based on radiofrequency (RF) energy penetrating into the dermis and causing thermal injury to the area, and as it regenerates itself, we end up with new and tighter collagen in the area. The technology used is called Pelleve, and it is a series of RF treatments that causes tightening of the area, in this case the neck. The Pelleve treatments work over time, and a series – up to six – are usually required to get the results that we want to see. Both work — one works one time and is an expensive procedure; the other works over time, costs less per procedure, but nonetheless works. Make sure you are going to a skilled provider, learn the facts, and chose what works best for you and your lifestyle.
Ultra Neck Lift seems to be an RF technique using radiofrequency energy. Ultherapyis FDA approved focused ultrasound technique with durable results that has been documented by many clinical trials.
Ultherapy works more deeply than the depth the Fraxel Repair reaches when the Ultherapy 4.5mm transducer is used. I wouldn't use the more superficial 1.5mm transducer the same day as Fraxel Repair is used. Should a physician do both treatments, the Ultherapy would be usually done first.
There can be some tightening obtained when Fraxel laser resurfacing is done, especially the Fraxel Repair laser and this can help reduce acne scarring. There are risks of all procedures and during the consultation the physician should evaluate the patient's skin and discuss the benefits...
Generally speaking, the ideal treatment for malar bags and festoons is blepharoplasty a surgical procedure. Nonsurgical treatments may improve this area, Ultherapy does help to a certain extent. Another procedure that is helpful is ThermiTight using radiofrequency microinvasive probe to treat...
