Is is possible to do Ultheraphy and Fraxel Re:pair on the same day?

Question

I have had 5 R:pairs done at 70mj-60%, with the last in 2011. I am a 67 year old man who is considering a facelift as a retirement gift to myself when I turn 70. Also is it logical to have Botox in conjunction with Ultheraphy for the forehead?

Ultherapy works more deeply than the depth the Fraxel Repair reaches when the Ultherapy 4.5mm transducer is used. I wouldn't use the more superficial 1.5mm transducer the same day as Fraxel Repair is used. Should a physician do both treatments, the Ultherapy would be usually done first.

Ablative fractional resurfacing and Ultherapy are complementary treatments which accomplish different aesthetic goals.  I have performed both on the same day without difficulty from a recovery standpoint and would not hesitate to do so again.

Ultherapy and Fraxel Repair can be performed on the same day.  Botox as well if done last, but I usually recommend having Botox 2-6 weeks prior to Fraxel so the skin is a smoother surface for the treatment and the new collagen that forms after the treatments will lay down in smoother sheets.

If you were planning on getting both treatments, I recommend that you 'stage' the procedures - get Ultherapy first and get the Fraxel treatment a week or 2 later.

You'd be targeting different layers of tissue so theoretically you could do both at the same time - but you could experience a more uncomfortable recovery. There is generally tissue swelling with both procedures - if you were my brother, I'd likely suggest you take it one at a time.Botox can definitely be helpful with Ultherapy for the forehead as well as with Fraxel. Botox first.
