Temporary Fillers such as restylane silk or belotero or a more permanent lip implant does great for smokers creases. Chemical peels also help.
I would use dermal fillers such as Belotero or RestylaneSilk for smoker lines asthese are superficial fillers. I would recommend Erbium typelaser resurfacing for deeper lines.
Treating smokers lines is complicated and may require different modalities. Botox can be used to relax the hyperactive muscles around the mouth that constantly create fine lines. For permanent line, fillers such a Juvederm or Restylane can be used. I prefer these over Belotero since they last longer. For improving hte texutre of hte skin, CO2 lasers, strong peels, or dermabrasion can be used.
I prefer Belotero for smoker lines. These can be notoriously difficult to treat, however. Often a combination of Botox, filler such as Belotero and a resurfacing procedure are most effective. I try to caution my patients that this issue will take time to address and often multiple procedures are required to achieve the results that you're looking for. Hi Cizek. As far as fillers for smoker's lines I like using either Restylane Silk or Belotero. Smoker's lines are difficult to treat. I find that the most effective treatment is a combination of Fillers, Microneedling, Chemical Peels, and ThermiSmooth. Prices will vary depending on location and skill of the treatment provider. Hope this helps answer your question.
There are many treatments for this area. Fractional co2 laser or fractional RF treatments are usually best to this area in combination with fillers like belotero and restylane silk and/or botox. I suggest you see a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in lasers and fillers. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi Cizek. We have used Belotero and Restylane Silk and have settled on Restylane. Although you cannot inject Restylane as superficially as Restylane silk or Belotero, we prefer a combination of fractional laser resurfacing for superficial lines and Restylane for improving volume loss.
Belotero Balance, which possesses little to no chance of giving rise to the unwanted, bluish Tyndall Effect when injected superficially into delicate skin, is my first choice for treating smoker's lines in my Upper East Side Manhattan office. (In my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved fillers are available, Teosyal Redensity II is my go-to product for this region). The results of filler treatment when properly performed are immediate and usually quite gratifying. However, should some residual etched-in lines persist, as may be the case in very long-standing sun-damaged areas, subsequent medical microneedling can help to further smooth and blend the treated areas. Unfortunately, I have become less enamored with the results of the more expensive fraxels or radiofrequency treatments often suggested for treating this region.Be sure to consult with a board certified aesthetic physician and ask to see his/her before and after photos.
Without a consultation in person is impossible to tell you what will be the best treatment for your case. There are many factors that give a patient smoker lines, even if the patient does not smoke. Some patients have excessive action of the orbicularis oris muscle, and they may need 2 o 3 units of botox to relax the muscle a little. Others have deep lines that need filllers on them like Juvederm Volbella, Belotero. Some others have sun damage and they need to have some kind of laser or dermabrasion to improve the skin texture and the lines too.
I prefer belotero or Restylane silk because they have small particles and done have a Tyndall effect. I also like placing Botox in the vertical lip lines as well.
Filler is best used for contouring and lifting, rather than line filling. You get more long term natural results with lateral facial filling with temples, lateral cheeks, preauricular (front of ears) and even the ear lobes, and jawline. This gives support and lift that you need long...
Thank you for your question, Kimmie. Your NL folds can become more prominent as you mature and lose volume in your cheeks and upper face. From your photos, you have relatively deep NL folds which makes the area around your full lips look "puffy". I can't assess your cheeks,...
Depending on where the line is on your nose and what the color is would dictate what works best for you. If the line is higher on your nasal bridge inbetween your eyes then Botox may help you. If it is lower then that and depending on what color the line is you could have laser treatment...
