It is certainly safe to travel. It is certainly not an emergency to have it replaced. If it is a saline implant, near immediate correction is easiest but not imperative. Enjoy your vacation and take care of it when you return.
Yes it is safe to travel, but something that should not be ignored if it is silicone. Most ruptures are contained within the capsule, but if the implant exchange is delayed, the silicone could leak into the breast tissue. Enjoy your vacation!
Enjoy your trip, I think it will be safe for you to travel. I would see your plastic surgeon before hand if feasible, it's not after your trip should be fine.
Hello. Is your implant saline or silicone ? Is it a Silicone FDA Approved ? Things that you should know before traveling. I recommend to change them before traveling. No vacation is worth risking your health.... You take care!
Dear KimIn short - yes, you are safe to travel. There is no emergency with a ruptured or leaking breast implant. Normally the silicone is "intracapsular" - which means it is kept within the scar tissue that the body has formed around the implant. This minimises the risk that it will travel anywhere else in the body.I would, however, suggest consulting with your plastic surgeon in the near future.
Failure of the saline filled or silicone filled breast implant is not an emergency. They can be replaced any convenient time. It's perfectly safe to travel.

The short answer is: YES, it is safe to travel. Deflated saline implants post minimal risk long term, whereas leaking silicone implants at some point do require removal. Contact a local plastic surgeon to review options with you. Best of Luck and Bon Voyage !
Thank you for your question. It is OK to travel in general. It is ideal to be evaluated by PS before and travel after his/her opinion.
While you should not unnecessarily delay the removal or exchange of a leaking implant, saline or silicone, you are generally safe to travel.
Thank you for your question about your breast implants.I am sorry you have to deal with breast asymmetry. Most insurance will not consider this medically necessary and will not cover it.There are exceptions.Find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is in your insurer's network, have a...
When implants are placed below the pectoralis muscle this can trigger intermittent muscle spasm that may feel like vibrations. This should resolve with time.
A leaking saline implant will ultimately go flat. No test is necessary as it will be obvious to both patient and surgeon.
