Patients with high and narrow foreheads typically do very well with hairline lowering procedures. I perform both hair transplants and hairline lowering, but I favor hairline lowering in patients with your hairline shape due to several factors. Hairline lowering provides an immediate result as well as normal density along the hairline making it a very attractive procedure for patients in my practice.
Hair transplant or forehead reduction surgery may be an option if you are not happy with your high forehead.
Thank you for yourquestion and photo. This is a very common feature that many patients dislike aboutthemselves but do not realize that there are excellent solutions for. Depending on your scalp and forehead laxity, a hairline lowering surgery (also known as forehead reduction surgery) may be an excellent option for you. In most patients, this can bedone as a single procedure at an outpatient surgery center. This willimmediately lower one's hairline, therefore reducing the size of your forehead. There is minimal downtime with some swelling and bruising, but mostpatients feel comfortable returning to social settings after a few days (somewear a scarf or hat to hide the sutures until they are removed). In agood candidate, the results can be quite natural and beautiful. I hope this helps!
Surgical lowering of the hairline coukd be the ideal solution for you if you have the right hair and scalp characteristics. I specialize in this operation and see many cases from the UK where inherited high hairlines seem more prevalent than elsehere.
Forehead reduction surgery comes in two types, the first is a surgical procedure that gives you same day results, the second is a hair transplant that takes 6-7 months to see. On our Home Page you can see four women who had the hair transplant approach
If you are considering surgery it would be best to discuss your options with a doctor. You need to explain to your doctor your goals and expectations. The doctor needs to examine you to give you a better assessment.
Your forehead does not look prominent based on your photograph.Even the area by your eyebrows looks aesthetically sound, however, the upper nose(radix) is depressed(sunken)and that may be what you are noticing. When this occurs it can make the forehead look more prominent. This occurs as we loose...
It is the contour of your frontal (forehead) bone that needs correction. You might first consider the injection of facial fillers to give a smoother, rounder, more natural look. An open operation to build up the same area can be done with a completelt hidden incision behind the hairline.
Thank you for your question. Both are capable of lowering your hairline nicely. Forehead reduction surgery is a great option for most patients - it gives you an immediately lowered hairline and smaller forehead after the procedure whereas FUE/hair transplants can take about 3-6 months for t...
If you're talking about reducing the size of the forehead, this cannot be done in a bald person. If you want to change the contour of the forehead this can be done if the bone is thick enough (not likely), but the incisions will still be seen.
