My butt implant pocket is infected? (photos)

Dear madam,   Thanks for submitting your picture. From observing the picture,  it  appears  that you have , at least, infected incision with spreading cellulitis.  Was culture and sensitivity of your wound obtained ? Are you on the right antibiotics  ?    Antibiotics are important, but more so is the drainage of  the abscess, which hopefully is limited to the incision only . A drain needs to be placed ( can be done in the office under local anestheisia). If excessive infected fluid is drained, it means that the implant is infected and it has to be removed, in order for the infection to be resolved and the wound heal. A new implant can be placed  6-12 months after the infection is cleared.  You need to see a local board certified plastic surgeon who does butt implants surgery. The healing process will be relatively long ( 2-3 months) , if the implant is infected and has to be remove,  with frequent visits to the office , so local surgeon is your best option.                           Best of luck,                                                  Dr Widder

Unfortunately it appears that you have an infection of the right buttock. This requires immediate attention as this can cause you to become extremely ill if not addressed. Seek the consult of a surgeon in your area ASAP to have this evaluated. Best of Luck - Dr. Hardy...

I have had great success with implants infected from patients who have been treated overseas; I would recommend immediate incision and drainage of your abscess pocket, and one month of IV antibiotics that can be provided through a PICC line. This is the only way to try and salvage your implants; Will also need a revision of your incision line scar six months later.
