It is not unusual to have swelling for several weeks and even months after surgery. You should check in with your surgeon. You should continue to sleep with your back and head elevated and avoid salt. Good luck!
Based on yourpictures, it appears that you have a very nice result. It is difficultfor me to tell if your procedure included any type of a face lift or neck lift. Whatever the case maybe, I personally would not critique the results until anytime after 3months. Even though most of the visible healing should be gone within 1-2weeks (depending on the type of procedures that you had), you are stillhealing. I would suggest that you schedule a follow-up withyour surgeon, who knows exactly which procedures you’ve had. He/she would knowwhether or not you should expect to be this swollen at 6 weeks.
Thank you for your question and for sharing your experience with us. At six weeks you may have some persistent swelling that could be on its way down. I would recommend that you wait for several more months and follow-up closely with your plastic surgeon. Your before and after shows considerable change. Congrats.
Many thanks for submitting your photos and question.Swelling and inflammation post neck liposuction is common however I would expect this to subsiding at this point.Massaging the area may help and wearing a compression garment can also be useful. I would suggest that you see the surgeon who performed the procedure to ensure you have no post operative complications and make a joint plan to get you to wear you want to be.I hope this helps
Hello, thank you for your question. At this point it would not be uncommon to have some additional swelling. You may consider some lymphatic type massages for this area to aid in your recovery. I would recommend you discussed all this with your treating physician. Best of luck with your continued recovery.
It looks like you have a great result and there probably is still some swelling that will continue to improve. The key at the moment is to make sure you don't put on additional weight and keep in touch with your PS who looks to have done a great job.
For six weeks you look amazing. It is reasonable that you will still have a considerable amount of swelling at this stage too. Plase consult with your physician if your are still concern.Hope this helsp,Dr. Gus DiazNatural Beauty Plastic Surgery
At six weeks, you have great results. Immediately after surgery, everyone experiences some swelling which makes the skin look and feel tighter. Then as swelling subsides, the fullness and tightness also decrease which makes you feel like everything is loosening up. Have patience-- the healing process can take several months to complete. A gentle rolling front neck massage from under the chin to the lower part of the neck can help the resolution of any tissue fluid from edema.
You're right from the pictures it would appear that you have more of a double chin after surgery than you did before. It probably has to do with the way you were holding your neck in the photograph but I think it would be reasonable to be evaluated and be sure there's not a fluid collection in that area.Good luck!
First and foremost, its best to remain patient. It is still early in to your recovery. The healing process in general can take up to one month for the majority of swelling to subside, incisions to close, sutures to come out, and for bruising to completely go away. #Recovery time from a #facelift...
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
The method of closure is based upon the area which is being closed. Staples in my opinion are only okay if they are within the hair bearing areas of the scalp. After that fine sutures around the ear are permanent ones which were removed at about 5-7 days. Any sutures in this area will do very...
