Do tuberous breasts take longer to drop, are my results normal, 10 days post Breast Augmentation? (photos)

No question about it, time implants are high, but you can expect them to drop considerably over the next few months.  One may drop before the other and you should wait six months before making a final determination on your result.

Breast augmentation alone is inadequate to treat
tuberous breasts.It is highly likely
that you will need a revision.However,

Thank you for your picture. Your result not acceptable in my opinion. Your implants may settle over the next 2-3 months. I don't think a revision is appropriate at this point but it may be in2-3 months.

Because the lower pole is tight, the implants may not want to rest as low as we would optimally like them to.Usually we perform a periareolar lift as well to help the issue, as well as use higher profile smaller implants.Talk to your surgeon about using a bandeau as well.

Good morning!Looking at your photos I agree that your implants are sitting a bit high- but do not fret.  It can take weeks for the tissues below your nipple to stretch out - especially in a tuberous breast patient.  Ask your PS if wearing a breast band may be of benefit in your case- it may speed alone the dropping of your implants.I hope this helps.

Yes, recovery and results from auberous breast correction can take longer than for patients with more relaxed soft tissues of the lower pole of the breasts.  I would advise patience - your result will improve over the next several weeks.  

Being that it has only been 10 days since your surgery, you have to be patient. It will take several months for things to completely settle.

Based on your photo, your results are not normal for 10 days postop. The implants are in too high a position and will not drop sufficiently to give a good result. They will need to be repositioned.

At only 10 days after your operation, there is a great deal of swelling. If your implants are placed under the muscle, then the swelling and tightness is accentuated. It takes a minimum of 3 months for this swelling to go down, the muscle to relax and accommodate the new implant, and for the implants to settle in a lower position. Over this time you should see the implants fill and round out the bottom of your breasts. Be patient and follow your plastic surgeons recommendations through the healing process.
