The various brands of Botox are manufactured by different companies but essentially - the active molecule is the same. (Similar to "Ibuprofen" but there are brands such as Motrin, Advil, etc....) Botox/Dysport/Xeomin/Jeuveau all last 3-4 months. Daxxify is reported to last a bit longer - maybe up to 6 months. The variation depends on multiple factors such as concentration, injection volume, anatomy etc... More important than the product - is the injector. (If you get a good haircut - was it the scissors (botox) of the stylist (injector).

There are multiple brands of neuromodulators such as Botox that can be used.
Currently there are name brand Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, Jeuveau and Daxxify.
Some injectors may have preferences of products that they use in certain areas and some patients also have preferences of product. I would find an injector to have an initial consultation with.
In your consultation with your injector you can tell them your preference, if you have one from previous injections, etc. You can also ask them about which products they prefer, or what they believe may work best based upon the area and look you are desiring.

There are several brands of neurotoxins. Botox is the most popular. Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Daxxify are some of the other brand names. All of these products are FDA approved to treat wrinkles, so any would be appropriate for your treatment. However, there are some dosing and price variations. There could be brands that a particular business or injectors prefers. For example, our practice carries Xeomin and Botox. Personally, I like to alternate between the two brands, unless the patient has a preference. There are some instances where certain brands seem to work better for certain patients. This is where a good relationship with your injector comes into play. You can work together to make the best choice for you!

Botox is one of the brands of a type of medication called neurotoxins, or sometimes neuromodulators. Other common brands are Juveau, Dysport, and Daxxify. Each is designed a little differently. Treatments are done in the office with final results seen after two weeks. The product effects last approximately three to four months, with the exception of Daxxify which can last six months or longer.
