Recovery time from a Halo treatment is directly related to the depth and density of treatment given. The deeper you go and the more densely you pack the columns of energy, the longer the recovery. For most of our patients we tell them that they should be makeup ready in about 4 or 5 days. I personally have had a Halo treatment and was working the next day, so one can return to normal activities if a bit of swelling, redness and subsequent microflaking doesn't bother you. Halo is a great treatment with very predictable and tolerable recovery.
Hello and thank you for your question! The downtime from the Halo varies per patient and is also dependent on the depth and density of the treatment. For some concerns, we will want to go more aggressive but Fri - Tues is a good amount of time for healing. You still may have some dry, flaky skin. Let your provider know you want to be presentable by Tuesday. Best, Dr. Grant Stevens
Most patients do not miss work post Halo. Typically, you will be red post treatment (lasting 1 to 2 days). On the 3rd day, you will start flaking which may last 1 day to multiple days. Most patients do not find this process such that they need to miss work.
That depends on the intensity of the laser. You can apply makeup by the third day and go to work. But if you are asking when all those tiny brown spots will flake off a moderate intensity takes about a week.
