Right under my incision my pubic area has a huge bulge. In panties it looks like i have a male package. The rest of my tummy is already flat. Is it possible im still swollen in the pubic region or could it be fat? If fat, how do you loose pubic weight?
Answer: Swelling/fat? Hello,Unfortunately you did not mention how far out of surgery you are. If this is within the firt couple of months then this could be swelling. the pubic area tends to hold fluid settled in there for quite a while and is worse because of gravity. If 6 months or more after surgery, I'd recommend that you talk with your Plastic Surgeon about options for treatment. All the best

Answer: Pubic Bulge After Mommy Makeover Thank you for the picture. If you greater than 3 months from your surgery this area is unlikely to improve. This area represents excess fat and I agree with Dr. Zubowicz that it can treated with liposuction.

Answer: Swelling of the Mons area after mommy makeover is common. I can't tell whether or not your Mons is swollen or has surplus fat. After swelling is subsided if it is still to prominent it can be easily reduced with liposuction performed under local anesthesia.

Answer: Pubic Bulge Post Abdominoplasty It is not unusual for the pubic region to swell post abdominoplasty. That is the area where the post-operative edema has a tendecy to settle and can persist for quite awhile. Sometimes this can take 3-6 months to go down. I would check with your plastic surgeon and let them evaluate the area, but chances are it is the normal recovery process.

Answer: Pubic area fat or swollen? Congratulations on having undergone the tummy tuck procedure. Depending on how far out of your tummy tuck operation you are currently, the area of prominence can be related to ongoing swelling and/or excess skin/adipose tissue. Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendations. In the long-term, if the area remains of concern, then liposuction surgery plus/minus skin excision may be necessary to achieve your desired outcome. Best wishes.
