Can Insurance Cover my Surgery if I Am Uncomfortable and in Pain?

Unfortunately, insurance will not cover a facelift.  Insurance companies are making it difficult for truly necessary surgery to be covered.  It sounds like you would benefit from seeing a Neurologist for your spasms and numbness which your insurance should cover.  Good Luck

Insurance does not cover facelifts or any cosmetics procedures.  The spasms and random twitching are not something that a facelift will correct.  I recommend you see a neurologist regarding these symptoms.

Insurance will not cover a facelift. There was a time when some corporate insurance policies cover cosmetic surgery but that was long ago and is probably one of the reasons for difficulty with insurance in modern-day health..

It is very uncommon for insurance companies to pay for facial cosmetic procedures. The only procedure that is sometimes covered is an upper blepharoplasty in cases where there is documented visual field obstruction.  A visual field test performed by an ophthalmologist is usually necessary to document visual field obstruction.  Thank you for your question. I'm not so sure a facelift is really what you need. I'm concerned about your facial twitching, numbness and pain. I would suggest you see a neurologist first. You could have something serious going on!

If you do elect to have cosmetic surgery, the only surgery that is occasionally covered by insurance is upper eyelids or blepharoplasty surgery. You would have to see an ophthalmologist first and have visual field testing done (with the upper lid taped and untaped) to show an improvement in your vision with the lid taped up to remove the hanging skin.

While health insurance companies do not normally cover the cost of cosmetic surgery, sometimes surgery on the upper eyelids can be covered.  If there is an obstruction of vision due to sagging of the upper eyelids, upper blepharoplasty surgery may be covered by insurance.  

  Certainly, the symptoms you describe debilitating and I understand how these symptoms make you feel.  But no insurance, anywhere, is going to pay for you to have a facelift.  However, it is possible that Botox injections, or Xeomin, may be covered by your insurance company and may be very successful in relieving your spasm symptoms.  Good luck.

Insurance will not cover a face and neck lift. On the other hand it probably will cover you seeing a neurologist. I would recommend that you find someone who can treat you for the symtoms you are experiencing. Best of luck.
