Way to grow out hair? Would PRP treatments work - Am I too young? (photos)

I am a 20 yr old female! Ive had this hairline for as long as I can remember. My hair is not falling out. I have a full head of hair. It's Just on the sides that its like this. There are baby hairs there but they will not grow! I have heard of PRP treatments & was wondering if it might work for my situation? I don't want to get surgery! This is something I have wanted to change for a while! Also am I too young for PRP treatments? & will they last forever or will have to continue the treatments?

Based on your photos and description PRP will not give you the results you are looking for.The only way to significantly increase the hair density in that area would be with a transplant.

In my opinion, 20 years old is not too young for PRP. It is hard to predict whether PRP will extend your hairline. If this is your normal hairline and not a result of hair loss, most likely PRP will not change your hairline. It usually make your hairs thicker.PRPHAIRMD.COM

While I am hesitant to make a definitive recommendation without thoroughly examining the area in question and getting more information about your medical history, I can say that it is possible for platelet rich plasma therapy to stimulate thicker hair growth in specific areas of the scalp. All hair grows in cycles, and the length of those cycles is one of the factors that determine how long hair will get. For example, hair on the scalp generally has a longer growth cycle than body hair, and so grows to a greater length. Platelet Rich Plasma works by causing hair follicles to become healthier and larger and by accelerating the transition of the hair follicle from the dormant (telogen) state back to the actively growing (anagen) state.  Theoretically, if platelet rich plasma is injected into follicles that are producing only small, fine hairs, longer and thicker hairs could result.
That being said, it is important to understand that platelet rich plasma cannot cause new hair to grow where none has ever grown before. In all likelihood, it will not change the shape of your existing hair line, especially if you have not been experiencing any prior hair loss or thinning. Platelet rich plasma can be safely performed on patients of any age and has, in fact, even been used to treat certain forms of hair loss in children. However, it still has potential risks and side effects that do need to be taken into consideration. Finally, platelet rich plasma therapy is a procedure that requires ongoing maintenance. We generally recommend that patients undergo a set of three initial treatments six weeks apart followed by a repeat treatment one year after the first. In your case, additional follow up treatments may be required in order to maintain your results.

PRP treatments are definitely effective but you may require few treatments for best modality. You may also want to look into cold laser hair therapy which uses cold laser to stimulate hair follicles and help with shedding and thinning.  A good effective laser on the market right now is LaserCap.
