I received a prp/acell injection about 5 months ago. About a week ago, I got another one mixed with adipose derived stem cells. I am experience quite a large amount of shedding, and am now wondering if there is a certain doasage of acell/prp that must be spaced out less frequently than 5 months. Essentially, I am wondering if this frequency could cause more harm than good. I was under the impression the second treatment would simply enhance the first, but now I'm not so sure.

Definitely go to your doctor to get it looked at. Acell is made from porcine bladder (pig) and perhaps you are having a reaction to it. Most likely this is drainage from the PRP and post inflammatory process.

PRP is used to stimulate hair growth, not cause it. Shock loss is due to the loss of normal hair whether it is from donor site or recipient area. It can occur with both FUE and strip procedures. Usually if it occurs it will take place in the recipient area.
