Answer: Nipple reduction Nipples may be reduced in projection or diameter. The procedure may be performed under local anesthesia. I prefer to perform the operation under magnification to maximize precision. The recovery is quick and easy.

Answer: Nipple reduction surgery for men Men with protruding nipples describe self-consciousness when wearing a bathing suit or a light T-shirt. Many wear dark colored shirts, shirts with letters across the chest, or two T-shirts at once--even in the summertime. Male nipple reduction is performed under local anesthesia. Laughing gas may also be used, if desired, at no additional charge. A chevron-shaped (think of the Chevron logo) removal of excess tissue is performed, and the incision is closed with absorbable sutures. I generally recommend leaving some residual nipple projection, though the nipples can be reduced considerably. The scars are frequently imperceptible.

Answer: Male Nipple reduction Reduction of the size or the protrusion of the nipple can be performed very easily under local anesthesia in an office setting. The resulting nipple can be made completely flat or some residual height can be left behind. In men sometimes there may be some additional breast tissue that sits behind the nipple and areola that further pushes the nipple out. This tissue can be firm and cause symptoms of pain and is termed gynecomastia. If this is the case, this tissue can also be addressed at the time of nipple reduction. Scarring after healing from these procedures is mostly negligible.
