Its difficult to say based on the photo you have shown, but it appears that your muscles that elevate your lips at an angle (levator anguli oris) may have different baseline tone. The lighting is not symmetric in the photos, but it appears that your left melolabial fold is more prominent indicating that you raise the left side of your lip more than the right. If this is the case, then 1-2 units of Botox to the left side would likely correct the problem. On the other hand if the lighting is just misleading, then a small amount of filler would help even the symmetry. See someone well respected in your area for an in person consultation to determine the right course of action. Best of luck.
Hello,Fillers are a reasonable option sometimes (as mentioned by several physicians here). However, I also do a procedure wherein we actually make the lips the same length surgically. The procedure is done in the office under local anesthesia and can often improve the situation.Best of luck!
You will need an examination to get an accurate answer.Generally, fillers such as Juvederm, are excellent for treating the lips. However, in cases where the lips already are big, one must proceed with caution.Best wishes.
I would want to see them from other views as well. Either no treatment or POSSIBLy a small amount to filler to DECREASE the asymmetry, not make them identical.
Please understand that asymmetry in facial features is normal and there are studies that suggest a little asymmetry is actually desirable and makes your face more interesting. However, a tiny bit of Beletero to the smaller side would make this more symmetrical.
This type of "trap door deformity" of scar is tricky to deal with. It requires a combination of very small precise manuevers, occassionally staged, and some good karma afterwards to get significant improvement. Having said that, I think it would be worth doing with an experienced surgeon.
Thanks for your question.Hyaluronic acid fillers are great choice for making the lip fuller and symmetric.HA fillers are reversable if needed by an injection.HA fillers can improve the shape of the lip but they last 6-9 months most of the time.Best wishes
At one week, swelling from the initial trauma is very likely to make the injured site look lumpy and uneven. For now, allow more time for the swelling to resolve. If you feel firm scar tissue within the lip at 3-4 weeks after injury, seek out an experienced plastic surgeon or...
