Yes, you need to see a doctor before starting medications such as Propecia (finasteride) since it is a drug that needs a prescription from a doctor.   More importantly, you need a diagnosis before starting a treatment. 

It is normal to lose transplanted hairs weeks after surgery.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.  It is not clear what is the significance of the color of your "bulbs".  If you are concerned, contact your doctor for a follow up exam.
