Hi Doc! Will i be able to know if it's okay to start using finestiride for male pattern baldness! I am 24 and seriously affected by male pattern baldness, I tried minoxdil where it made by hair fall worse by dandruff, my problem for now is that will I be able to use finestiride until I go through a transplant or prp! Will it help me to recover atleast few of my loss hair? Do I need to refer any doctor for this? (Which I won't find here) Or is there any other medicine that will prevent the same?

Finasteride in USA requires a prescription, so you should see a physician for a correct diagnosis and review of whether or not you are a candidate for medical treatment. As far as PRP goes, the jury is still out, however at this time the evidence does not show that PRP is advantageous for hair restoration.
