I used to have moderate acne, which cleared up a few years ago. Only stubborn whiteheads remain now, which I'd like to get extracted. Consulted a dermatologist nearby, and he said he won't do the extractions before some sessions of glycolic peels or laser. But according to one of the answers given by Dr. Mary Lupo here on realself, chemical peels and lasers are very bad for closed comedones. This has left me very confused. Is this man just trying to scam me for more money?
