I had a chemical peel done 4 years ago in 2013 by an esthetician. I want to say it was called the "A peel" but can't find any information it. She told me she used the lowest strength because I had an event coming up. The peel left a permanent sunburn look underneath my eyes with redness where the peel was on my cheeks. I have had microneedling and IPL done to try and diminish it but nothing has worked. I also recently started retin A, will this make it worse? What can I do to help this go away?

Answer: Recommend doing a resurfacing laser to help even out skin tone caused by the peel. Vbeam can help defuse redness
It is safe to have microdermabrasion or a chemical peel 3 months after Lasik Eye.I recommend an Opti-Ceramide cream called Elevase after chemical peels or microdermabrasion for deep hydration and moisturization of the skin.BestH Karamanoukian MD FACS
I recommend that you get on a daily skin regimen to reduce the hyperpigmentation. Either the Brightening Kit from Kare Skin orMelarase AM with PIH Relief Complex (see link below).BestH Karamanoukian MD FACS
Tanning causes skin damage so I would recommend that you not tan and wait until the skin heals before considering a peel.
Tanning, which damages your skin and a chemical peel to try to improve your skin are incongruous.
Good luck.
