Will a chemical peel help with dark lips due to smoking? (Photo)

I recently quit smoking but was heavy smoker and am now left with dark lips. Will a chemical peel on my lips restore my natural color?

First, congratulations on quitting smoking!!!!!!
It is difficult to evaluate from the limited photo. However, chemical peels will not change the pigmentation/coloring of your lips. There may be treatments available to improve you condition. Consult with a dermatologist.

The photo does not provide enough information to answer the question. I have had some good results with lip discoloration using the NdYag laser ( Lightpod by Aerolase). Please visit a dermatologist in person to get the best option for your lips. CONGRATULATIONS  on stopping smoking, which is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your family!!!
