Looking at lower face and sunspots - Best procedure for me?

It is definitely time for a lower face/neck lift and be sure to get Morpheus/Chem peel at the same time to make the whole face, neck and chest look rejuvenated. Do it under local and see amazing safe results right away. A deep peel won't accomplish enough on its own.

If you would like to understand better what a deep plane facelift could do for you, I suggest lying down completely flat and examining your facial features in the mirror. The volume redistribution that you will see corresponds relatively well to the impact of a deep plane facelift.

Although a chemical peel can improve the texture and color of the skin, it will not produce similar shape changes for the contour of the jawline, the corners of the mouth, and the volume in the midface. CO2 laser on its own will not do as much as the chemical peel would, and therefore it is not a direct replacement. CO2 laser can complement very well the effects of a deep plane facelift.

I am sorry that you had a bad experience with Ultherapy, which was the response I saw with this device and the reason that I got rid of it. I agree with the opinion of your 2nd consult. You do have indications which will be addressed with a deep plane facelift and concurrent fractionated CO2 laser treatment. I perform this procedure in about 50% of my facelifts in SWFL. I can't explain the opinion of your first consult, unless you specifically object to surgery.

Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for the question and photos. A chemical peel will not be sufficient (and as you have learned, neither will energy based devices, micro-coring, or micro-needling). In my practice, a lower face and neck lift with CO2 skin resurfacing would be recommended. IPL can be used for solar lentigines ('sun spots') if there is residual dyspigmentation. I would also suggest including a lip lift and augmentation for the best result in perioral rejuvenation. The choice of best facelift technique for you depends on additional factors and your goals--a well-executed deep plane would be great, but there are some modifications that could be considered. It depends mostly on whether your cheeks/midface are of great concern to you.

It looks that face and neck lift would be a good procedure to start with. However, there is also need for skin rejuvenation which can be done by means of facial peels, lasers, peri-oral dermabarasion or combination of these. Considering position of mouth corners, that can also be addressed by means of “smile surgery” or mouth corners lift. Set of procedures, some of which can be done in the same time, rather than one single modality, would be my suggestion. Hope this helps.

To rejuvenate the lower face, consider a lower face and neck lift. In our practice, this procedure accomplishes tightening loose facial and neck skin, tightening loose facial and neck muscles, lifting the jowls, and removing fat deposits in the neck which also includes a platysma- plasty to significantly improve the jawline. We no longer perform Chemical peels since there are much better alternatives today. The wrinkles on your upper and lower lips can be treated with dermabrasion or laser resurfacing. The sunspots are treated by dermatologists in the office setting.
