I'v had 2 consults, one more to follow. One dr said deep chemical peel will do what I'm looking for, no need for a facelift. Other dr said deep plane facelift/ CO2 laser will give me the outcome I'm looking for. I have one more consult to go. Looking at lower face and sunspots to be taken care of. I've had Ultherapy (twice) waste of time, $. Ellacor done twice, maybe slight difference. Tired of wasting time and money. Please advise

Answer: Facelift with CO2 Laser Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for the question and photos. A chemical peel will not be sufficient (and as you have learned, neither will energy based devices, micro-coring, or micro-needling). In my practice, a lower face and neck lift with CO2 skin resurfacing would be recommended. IPL can be used for solar lentigines ('sun spots') if there is residual dyspigmentation. I would also suggest including a lip lift and augmentation for the best result in perioral rejuvenation. The choice of best facelift technique for you depends on additional factors and your goals--a well-executed deep plane would be great, but there are some modifications that could be considered. It depends mostly on whether your cheeks/midface are of great concern to you.

However, there is also need for skin rejuvenation which can be done by means of facial peels, lasers, peri-oral dermabarasion or combination of these. Considering position of mouth corners, that can also be addressed by means of “smile surgery” or mouth corners lift. Set of procedures, some of which can be done in the same time, rather than one single modality, would be my suggestion. Hope this helps.
