Liposuction before or after starting TRT?

Question

Due to medical (non-cosmetic)reasons, I, 40 Male, would be starting TRT soon. Due to cosmetic reasons, I want to go for "Liposuction + ab etching + Fat transfer". What would be the pros and cons of doing either of the above procedures before or after the other? Or are they completely unrelated in the grand scheme of things?

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

The effect of TRT treatment on liposuction patients is unpredictable. Therefore, the result may be different from the desired in patients taking hormones. My suggestion is to take the hormone first and perform the procedure after at least 6 months.

As long as you get " Bioidentical hormones" there should be no problem doing your TRT and surgery in either sequence, however, having "Anabolic hormones" for TRT interferes with anesthesia part of the surgery and we recommend not to take them before surgery.
