Do lateral canthopexies shorten the eyes like canthoplasties?

I noticed with canthoplasties a lot of peoples eyes end up shorter vertically, like the distance between the inner and outer canthus is shortened. I do not want this effect so I’m wondering if canthopexies do the same thing
