I had thigh liposuction and BBL 6 months ago. I noticed that I developed cellulite on the back of my thighs and side of hips. I didn’t have such problem before the surgery. Based on my photos, is that cellulite or skin dents that I developed from the surgery? And is there any way to treat them? Will fat graft to these dents/cellulite/skin irregularities help soothe out the appearance of my thighs? Please advise
Answer: Liposuction on the legs left indentations and cellulite looks like cellulite and this can be improved with QWO, RF treatments, morpheus, and injectables like sculptra. I suggest you get a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Cellulite Dear Rootzy, you might consider Cellfina to reduce the cellulite. Patients are usually satisfied after the treatment (over 90 %). I would suggest you to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience with Cellfina. Answer: Cellulite after BBL Cellulite is caused by connective tissue that anchors the skin to the superficial underlying fascia. It’s sort of like tufted buttons and textured furniture. Areas that typically tolerate lots of pressure have much more connective tissue like the palms of the hands lower in her buttocks and back of the thighs. The typical areas where people don’t have smooth skin. Adding fat typically makes cellulite worse and this includes a BBL. Liposuction went down correctly should not have any influence on cellulite but the areas where you had liposuction are not typical cellulite areas other than perhaps the back of your thigh. Most likely this represents somewhat uneven Liposuction and possibly cellulite was created in certain areas that are prone to having cellulite and can be created by adding volume. We really need to see before and after pictures to make an assessment on the outcome of any surgical procedure. Ask your surgeon for the before pictures or even better before and after pictures they took and use those for any future post. Treating previously poorly done liposuction is very difficult as it is treating cellulite. Without seeing your before pictures it’s very hard to tell. Follow up with your provider.
