Am I a candidate for cankle liposuction? What would the procedure look like and what's the price range?

I'm in my early 20s and have been very self conscious about my ankles appearance since I was a teenager. Not 100% sure if I fit the criteria for cankles condition but you can see on the pictures that my achilles tendon is invisible and that we can't really make a difference between my calves and ankles, they're pretty wide. Please advise, thank you.

Dear haain,
it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, ankle liposuction doesn't provide good results. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

you appear to be a candidate but already have very small calves an that needs to be very carefully contoured as there is high risk of complications/indentations if its not done well.  please see an expert, we do these daily.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Calf and ankle Liposuction is a technically difficult procedure that many plastic surgeons either don’t offer at all or do seldomly.  my practice has been devoted exclusively to liposuction and fat transfer procedures for over a decade. I have done close to 8000 Liposuction Presidio is in my career.  i’ve done less than 10 calf and ankle Liposuction cases.  when I do this anatomic area it is only when patients have a severe fat distribution issue.

It’s difficult to contour the area around the Achilles tendon without leaving any liposuction imperfections.  because of gravity the area has extensive swelling that goes on for months and months after surgery sometimes to the point making it difficult for the patient to wear certain shoes or boots.  in your case your condition it’s not even close to warranting Liposuction in my opinion and I would highly recommend that you stop your search and learn to except your body as being normal and appropriate.

You can probably find someone to do the procedure but the chance of you being happy with the outcome is I’m afraid not very good.

I’m sure there are providers with more experience than me and those with different opinions so this is just my opinion but I do have more liposuction experience than most will have in their lifetime because I chose to specialize in this procedure over 10 years ago.
