I recently had a breast reduction and will be having a breast augmentation to create more upper pole fullness. My surgeon will also do liposuction of the lateral breasts to clean up an area from my previous breast reduction. Will lipo of the lateral breasts also cover the side boob? Or is that a lateral chest breast liposuction?
Answer: What is liposuction of the lateral chest and breast -- renuvion/bodytite this area often needs skin removal and/or internal heating, I suggest consulting to see what you are a good candidate for. liposuction of the lateral beast and chest is very similar. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Differentiating the breast and the chest Lateral simply means to the side. This means that the lateral breast is the outer most part of your breast and the lateral chest is the outer most part of your rib cage. Lateral chest would be a mid axillary line. Lateral breast is whatever the outer part of the breast is and for some patients it can continue to the backside if you allow skin laxity to be part of what defines the breast perimeter. The correct person to ask this question two is the surgeon who is going to do your procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Differentiation between lateral breast and lateral chest liposuction Hi and welcome to our forum! If there is unnatural fullness of the lateral aspect of the breast itself, liposuction may prove satisfactory. On the other hand, if the fullness extends laterally into the bra roll, optimal treatment depends upon its extent. If the amount of fat is relatively minimal-moderate and the overlying skin is in good condition, liposuction will flatten the area. If there is significant loose skin in the area (often associated with stretch marks) or if the fatty deposit is large, excision of skin and underlying fat would be required. Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion.Best wishes...
