Answer: Hyperpigmentation--Clear+Brilliant/Venus Viva, emeragecosmetics Cosmelan/Enlighten/AERIFY peel, Aerolase, Reveskin bleaching this typically needs in office vbeam and RF treatments and at home skincare (see link). this is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation/melasma/discoloration that needs cosmelan or enlighten peels at home which we can do virtually and send to your home along with aerify peels regularly, vivatia foam, restorsea 10x, faith essence serum, and cosmelan 2 cream. Hyperpigmentation from any type needs a combination approach of peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify, lasers like clear and brilliant and aerolase or laser genesis, radiofrequency like venus viva, and constant skin care and sun protection. Bimonthly facials with silk peel dermalinfusion is essential to hydrate, exfoliate and infuse vitamins and antioxidants into the skin. If you have acne you can do additional treatments and peels to get more improvement. I suggest a formal consultation with an expert in lasers and peels. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Dark hemosiderin stains Dear hemo1, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: For a Natural Outcome - Change Diet & Try Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Hi! Laser treatment is a common treatment for hemosiderin staining, but please be aware it may take multiple treatments for this to work. You may need multiple treatments, but its not guaranteed to remove anything, but improve the area. In some cases patients see it heal on its own. Please do check over this as it is known to lead to ulcers which we do not want. More natural alternatives, I suggest below:-Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy-Change Diet ( Low Iron Diet)

Answer: Discoloration after liposuction It’s important to differentiate various forms of potential color changes after liposuction procedures. Hemosiderin is one potential but there are other ideologies for discoloration and the treatment can be different. An accurate diagnosis of the true ideology of the color change may require a small skin biopsy. Without pictures or more information it’s difficult to say. I suggest scheduling second opinion in person consultations with local dermatologists. Best of luck with your situation and treatments. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
