You definitely do not want your compression to be too tight as this could cause more problems.  It should be snug enough to help reduce swelling and avoid fluid collections but not cause you pain and discomfort.

Usually a year after tummy tuck the pain should be gone. During the procedure the muscles are tightened and can cause a pressure or tight feeling post operatively.  It  is always best to follow up with your surgeon  to make sure everything is healing properly.  

Based on your descriptions, you possibly have a seroma build up. It would be best to schedule an appointment with your surgeon for an in-person examination.
