i had butt implants 22 days ago, but i feel that its taking so much time to heal
Answer: Incision problems after buttock implants Minor problems with the buttock implant incision are very frequent, but they have an excellent prognosis.Keep the area clean and dry, use Hibiscrub shower gel twice daily and this usually heals up without any further action. In case there is discharge from your incision, which is possible, I advise you get in touch with your original surgeon to check whether he reckons bacteriology swab and/or antibiotics are advisable.Bear in mind that whilst I appreciate that this is stressful for patients, it is not unusual and usually self- limiting.

Answer: Buttock implants Thank you for sharing. An open wound at this stage of recovery needs is not normal and needs the attention of your surgeon immediately. If the correct size implant is chosen, your wound should start to heal one week after your procedure. If the implant is too large it can prevent the incision from healing and invite infection. Choosing the right size implant is crucial to ensure the overall success of your procedure. Be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that specializes in this procedure and is well known for it.

Answer: Incision Healing after Butt Implants It often takes several months for the incisions to heal completely after butt augmentation with implants. As you are only 3 weeks out from surgery it is still very early in the healing process. The main things to watch for at this point are signs of infection (redness, drainage, fevers) and bleeding (bruising, swelling, pain). If any of these signs are present you should check with your surgeon. In the meantime keep the incisions clean with soap and water and consider using a scar gel. We give all of our patients Scar Gel from SkinMedica which really helps the scars heal nicely.
