I'm currently 2 stone (28 pounds) over weight, which I am actively loosing however even when I have been at my slimmest I have no definition in my jaw. What can I do to improve this? Is this being caused by having a small chin?
Answer: Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Loss of weight can have an effect on the appearance of the face and the neck where loss of volume can create drooping of the skin and loss of definition of the jawline. The gold standard of improving this would be a Lower Face and Neck Lift, however at your age, non-surgical tightening treatments have shown great results. I recommend treatments such as Thermage or Potenza.

Answer: Start with a Genioplasty You definitely have options to improve the appearance of your lower face. First, I would recommend a genioplasty. This will advance your chin and bring it down slightly to created a more balanced profile. This would also elongate your jawline and add definition. Second, buccal fat removal will decrease some of the fullness in your lower cheeks and help to reduce some of the jowling. Jawline liposcuplting will also help to reduce the jowling and further define your jawline. Submental liposuction is also an option for some of the fat under the chin. Although a genioplasty might be able to correct the issue by itself. If you are still uncomfortable with your jawline, a neck thread lift will help to tighten the skin underneath, creating more contour and definition. Pretty much all of these procedures could be done at the same time, which would mean one recovery. I know that is a lot of information, but I would highly recommend looking into a genioplasty with jawline contouring and buccal fat removal. I believe this will help you to achieve the stronger jawline and profile you are looking for.

Answer: Chin implant or fat removal Although an in person examination would be recommended, a chin implant would definitely help to improve the jaw line. Another recommendation would be a possible fat removal. If you are not interested in a surgical approach, there are many non invasive procedures to look into as well. At our office we offer services such as evoke, profound, softwave, and Morpheus which would all help to improve the jawline.
