Hello- looking for input. I has a breast augmentation 10 days ago. I wanted results to look natural. I already had some Breast tissue and was about a 34b. My PS suggested unders for a more natural look. I tried on 265-295 cc sizers. The 295 looked huge but I decided to go with them because my PS mentioned swelling and generally pt’s will tend to wish they went bigger. I think they look good, however I cannot believe how small they look. I know I wanted natural but they look like when my weight fluctuates or on my period. At this point I am disappointed with the size as I spent so much money I did not want to be huge but at least be worth it. Hearing drop and fluff i really hope they will develop more fullness, I really don’t seem to have that typical ‘upper pole fullness’. Any insight or input would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: Breast implants need time to drop and fluff You will have your goal result. At 10 days you are about 7 percent settled, healed, shaped, softened, dropped and fluffed. "Drop and fluff" refers to the fact that as the skin stretches and the muscles relax, the implants move down and out slowly – about 1 percent a day. It’ll be about six weeks before they even begin to settle down, but they’ll be close to 80 percent settled and softened at three months. Watching their progress is like watching your hair grow. You don’t see a difference in your hair growth daily, but all of a sudden you need a haircut. Be patient after surgery. Give yourself a few months before making a judgment about your surgical results. You won't know the outcome until then. Answer: Concern 10 days post breast augmentation Hi and welcome to our forum!Congratulations on your recent surgery. The photos you providedappear to demonstrate normal early postoperative swelling. The process of breast healing after augmentation involvesremodeling of the soft tissues as the "drop and fluff" phenomenonoccurs over a period of 3 months or so. In addition you will still be experiencing significant postoperative inflammatory swelling which will totally obscure the result. 60-80% will resolve atthe 6th week with the remainder slowly abating over 6-12 months. It is stilltoo early to assess the operative result.I recommend that you continue followup with your surgeon, allowing more time to heal (usually 6 months). Bestwishes...

Answer: Post Op - Appearance of Breast, Healing and Recovery Hi buff2785, I understand your concern. It is normal to be concerned about the appearance of your breasts after breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the early stages of the healing process at 10 days post op. The tissues surrounding your implants are still swollen and your implants have not settled yet into their position. It takes about 6 months for the inflammation to fully subside and for the implants to drop and fluff. You should be patient and follow your plastic surgeon's post operative advice on proper care and management for faster healing and recovery. If after 6 months you are not satisfied with the result of your breast augmentation surgery, you can discuss revision surgery with your plastic surgeon. Answer: Breast Implant Surgery Question Dear buff2785,Thank you for your question. Based on your photo it looks like your implants are high and wide, which can happen when the implant is placed under the muscle. Over the next 3-4 months, you implants will drop and fluff. You should have more cleavage and a more natural look, but not necessarily more upper pole fullness. Only increased volume or a higher profile with give you that.Good luck,Nirmal R. Answer: 10 Days Post Op Breast Augmentation At 10 days it is too soon to see your final result. Try to be patient and follow your surgeon's post operative instructions. It may be several more months before you see your final results. Good luck.
