I got my BA 3 days ago and the underneath of my right breast looks flatter and not round like my left breast. The hospital doesn't seem to care, I'm really depressed right now and need advice, can I do anything to help it or will it change over time? (I saw my breasts in hospital after surgery and they looked round, after 2 days of a tight bra with 2 velcro straps on top/bottom (given by nurse) I got bad pain under my right breast, at 1st followup nurse gave new bra w strap to push breast down)

Answer: Breast Implant Recovery I would not worry right now. You are only 3 days postop. Flat areas on the outer and bottom area of the breast usually round out during the recovery as the round shaped implants slowly create a rounder pocket as they stretch out any tight areas of muscle or skin. It may take a few months, but usually this corrects itself (not always, but usually). I would make sure that you discuss this with your surgeon because I do not know the details of your case. Hope this helps. Jeffrey R. Claiborne, MD Certified SAFELipo Surgeon Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Have Your P/S Evaluate Have this evaluated by your plastic surgeon to make sure that it does not represent a small hematoma displacing your implant upward. If this is not the case and if your breasts were round immediately after surgery, I suspect this may even out with time. Wearing a bra with a strap to press the implant downward may be all that you need to settle the implant into position.
