Question

About 6 months out, my results started to become very undesirable. What went wrong? Have lost some weight, not gained any. Areolas look misshapen and incision scars look hideous. Also, breasts actually sit slightly lower than before removal. Thanks, Straka.

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Thank you for the question and photo. 
It appears that the Left side is larger and more bottomed out than right side, and the areola have widened. In order to make the breasts more symmetric and perkier, you would benefit from revision of breast lift, however, I would wait a full 1 year to allow for the final wound healing to take place.
The decision-making process depends on your discussion with the plastic surgeon following a thorough physical evaluation, in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results.

Hello!
Breasts settle after breastlift surgery, including the nipple areola. Some degree of weight loss may contribute.
Revision work may be considered typically 1 year out from surgery. In your case, your incisions can be tightened, maybe lower breast lightened, and nipple areolar complexes reduced. The revision work should take less time than the original lift and there are no new scars.

I encourage you to return to your surgeon for an evaluation.  Scar revision can be performed to help improve the look and shape of the areola.  A revision to your lift may be indicated as well.

You need a full lift. sometimes a full lift cannot be done at the same time as the removal to ensure the blood supply to the nipple area.  Please discuss this with your surgeon.

The reason you had a bad outcome is that you had a compromised lift done. Did you have a peri-areolar lift? You will require a proper lift in order to redo your areolas and to lift the nipple to the proper height. Please consider a virtual consultation with a high definition breast specialist.
