Are my sexual nerves (penile, vaginal, prostate, nipple or otherwise) affected at all, small risk or otherwise by a tummy tuck?
Answer: Tummy tuck and nerves No during a tummy tuck the only nerves that are at risk are on the abdominal skin and sometimes the outside of the thigh, which usually will get better over time. There is no risk to the genital nerves during a tummy tuck, even though the incision is in the bikini line, it is well away from those nerves.

Answer: Tummy tuck and nerves The nerves that you mentioned are not affected by tummy tucks. There is a small sensory nerve on each side of your groin that supplies sensation to the skin on the lower part of the stomach area. This nerve tends to get cut during C-sections and tummy tucks and may result in some loss of sensation in the lower part of the abdomen. It may take a long time to return and sometimes this loss of sensation is permanent. I have never had a patient complain about this, however.

Answer: Tummy tuck No nerves to your genitalia should be affected. The incision and skin above it may be numb, but not below the incision or at the genitalia.

Answer: Sensory nerves The sensory nerves to the genitalia are not affected by a tummy tuck procedure. Thousands of small sensory nerves to the skin are transected on the abdominal wall, but they usually regenerate with time.Good Luck!

Answer: Tummy Tuck and Nerves of the Abdomen The short answer is that the nerves you are concerned about are not cut and there is no chance of injury to those nerves during a tummy tuck. It is possible to injure nerves that go to the upper thigh however. Most patients will also have some numbness to the lower abdomen, just below the belly button after surgery
