Post lipo and breast augmentation: I’m hungry as can be!

Question

I had breast aug & Lipo done. Basically inner, outer, posterior thigh , stomach in 3 areas including flanks , upper and lower back as well as my arms! However prior to surgery I was 155 gained after due to swelling but now I’m the same weight but right after surgery I wasn’t hungry but ate like a bird just cuz I was on meds and knew I needed food after day 10-15 I’m hungry as can be! I’m not sure if it’s due to all the food I didn’t eat post surgery but it’s not something I’m trying to do

Thank you for your question.  My strong advice is to follow a balanced diet.  Remember that any liposuction procedure includes the introduction of fluid to numb and expand the suctioned areas, therefore your weight will fluctuate as healing progresses.  Best of luck.

Hunger after surgery is a normal part of the process. It is a way for your body to tell you that you need the nutrients to build up scar and heal the wounds from your surgery.
Finally, make sure that your doctor is aware of your process. She/He should be able to guide you best in your care.

This is most likely due to the decreased food intake ater surgery. I feel that it should correct itself soon.  If not please see your primary MD

If you are hungry, eat. You body needs it now. If you have something high in protein it will better help to curb the hunger. You can worry about longer term dietary/exercise issues when you are fully recovered.
