I had a facelift with chin liposuction 3 weeks ago. I am healing well, but still have numbness on sides of face. My appointment for peel is 5/7/19 and wondering if that would be sufficient time.

Answer: It’s important to wait until you’ve fully healed before having additional treatments. Thank you for your question. Since you want to be careful about injuring the skin after it has just gone through a surgical procedure, it is usually suggested that you wait around 2 months or so to have another treatment done to that area. It’s recommended that you wait to have a TCA chemical peel so that your skin is able to properly heal and recover. Answer: TCA and facelift IN many cases, I am able to offer the TCA peel at the time of the facelift, carefully applying to the areas that can be treated. In other cases, a patient and I may elect to treat the two areas separately. The trick is treat each case individually and make a prudent decision, since there's no obvious answer to this case.

Your current appointment date is likely too soon and may need to be pushed back some time to ensure you can safely undergo the treatment without damaging your results. Please follow up with your board-certified plastic surgeon before proceeding with any additional treatments. Answer: Peel after a facelift The wounds typically take about 4 to 6 weeks to heal. Your surgeon should be able to evaluate the skin blood supply to the facelift areas and wound status. He will be able to recommend the optimal time of a skin peel post facelift.
