The real issue is that you have leftover fat and are unhappy. The number of incisions and the length of the cannulas is irrelevant. Schedule a consultation with an experienced liposuction surgeon and get the remaining fat removed when you have completely healed.

Id suggest you posting photos for us to get a better assessment for you.  Many physicians do forget to address the upper abdominals which often require an insertion point through the belly button or in the middle abdomen (which I dont like to perform for risk of scarring).  I wish you the best, Dr. Emer.

 The typical cannula length for Smartlipo body contouring is 10 inches. It is not unusual to make multiple small incisions to treat the full abdominal area to achieve optimal results. Be patient, the contour will continue to improve over the next six months. Best wishes, Greg Pisarski MD FACS

Cannulas come in many lengths, so the surgeon is able to reach almost any spot with the right length cannula. If you have concerns, go back to be evaluated.
