Question

I'm 8 weeks PO after having a Tummy Tuck, which included liposuction on my sides and muscle repair. I've noticed that my right side is not as firm as my left side. It seems like I have a lump right under my rib cage. In the morning you can barely see it but in the evening it's big. It doesn't hurt at all and I've checked my stomach to make sure I don't feel any gaps in the muscle and it's feels fine.

At 8 weeks, it is common to have swelling after the procedures that you had. Since you are flat when you first get up in the morning, then swell, I believe that this is just normal swelling and will go away with more time. Check with your surgeon to verify this.

Thanks for your question. At 8 weeks you still have normal swelling it sounds like. Sometimes there can be a "cord" you feel under the rib cage. This will usually go away with time, but it goes more quickly with massage. You should ask your surgeon. Best of Luck!
