Thank you for your photo.  Sometimes there may be some contour irregularities after injection.  This can be due to the product placement, bruising, or other issues.  You are very early in your post procedure course.  In our office, we usually wait 10 to 14 days before seeing a patient back as we know there will be swelling.  Swelling can be present for a while, even longer if there was any bruising.  Often contour irregularities can be smoothed out.  Please let your well trained, experienced injector know about your concerns.           

Thank you for posting your updated picture and I am happy that your swelling has improved so quickly.  You still have some swelling as a result of your bruising but once your results mature at two weeks you should be able to get a touch-up to your lower lip to achieve a better lip balance.  Hopefully over this period of time your lump will also resolve.  Continue to keep your lips moistened to limit your chapping and post a follow up picture when you have completed your treatments.  Best wishes. 

Lips swell after injections, some more than others. It can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. I suggest reversing the fillers on your upper lip if you are unhappy, but wait at least 2 weeks. Best, Dr. Emer

My best advise to patients after lip augmentation, is that you  will LOVE the look best in  2 weeks. By then the swelling will subside and any unevenness can be gently massaged and mobilized.  If Juvederm "travels" in the mid -lip, it can be smoothed-- but is best done by the provider.  Cold compresses may be used immediately
after treatment to reduce swelling only if needed. It will resolve regardless!

I always tell my patients to not love their filler
injections for 2 weeks. Swelling is very common and sometimes immediate. It can
last 3-7 days and a good idea is to use cold compresses. Cold compresses may be
used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling only if needed. This may be
applied for 3 minutes, 3 times per day, for up to 3 days. This is best done
with a bag of peas in a zip lock bag. Only apply light pressure to the area but
gentle massage might be necessary if the bump is from the filler material
itself. Get Arnica gel if you can find some and apply a few times a day as well
to help treat any swelling. Avoid any blood thinners. Bruising can also last
1-2 weeks. I don't recommend hyaluronidase this early and wait a few weeks
until the swelling has resolved. If it is persistent or you are worried, set up
a follow up appointment with your dermatologist.

Lips tend to swell and bruise to a greater extent than other areas. That's why I perform the injections using cannulas which minimize both.  However, it can 2 weeks for the bruising and swelling to settle down.  Please post pictures in 2 weeks.  If there is a lump, you can also massage it and sometimes it does settle down. If there is a noticeable problem, Juvederm is reversible with an enzyme called hyalurodinase. All the bestDr Soni

Sorry for the post injection minor issues. But after 2 weeks you will be able to see final results. Did not the injecting MD tell you this pre injection? Was the injections done by MD?
